So for this week's free blog I’m going to be talking about Project Grad! If you don’t know what Project Grad is, it is for seniors after they graduate high school, they party without any influence on drugs or alcohol. So, we had to film that whole thing, and stay up till six in the morning. We had to be up at eight at night, till six in the morning, and I was very tired. Filming was cool though, we had to film all the activities, and the hypnosis. But, unfortunately we only got three interviews, but we are going to try and put them throughout the video we will be making. Anyways, I hope you guys like this blog, bye!
Hey guys, this week's blog topic three things I learned while being in the media class. We do many things in media and it could all go to from meeting new friends, to stressing out about a project…. A lot! But there are lot of things I learned in media, but I’m going to tell you my top three.
The first thing I learned in media is communicating with others. I was a very shy girl before coming into media, I still am a little, but this class has taught me not to be shy, and knowing that I have to talk with many other people when I get older. I have to talk to a lot of different people that I don’t know for things in media. Like talking to someone from a different school to get information for our Inside Scoops. Or talking to people for our interviews and ask them different questions for our project. That is one lesson I learned in media.
Another lesson I learned is to not procrastinate! We have a lot of projects and we to meet deadlines. If we procrastinate we won't get them done or we won't make the deadline. That is another thing I learned in media.
The last thing I learned in media, is about meeting new friends. I have met so many new friends over the year just being in the media class. I have met some friends that live in California! They are our pen pals, and it was really fun hanging out with them while we were in California! I have also became close with some of the people in our class as well. That is the last thing I learned in media.
In conclusion, I have learned a lot of things in media. Anyways, I hope you have a great day… bye!
Hey everyone! Sorry for this late blog, but this weeks blog topic is about our family night video. I have to talk about three reasons on why I chose that video to show for family night. Now, the video I chose to do was about the person named Kadee and she did several random acts of kindness, my partner Kirra and I did a story about her. She did a bunch of charity work, like donate food or backpacks.
The reason first reason why I chose this video is because it was one of my first news stories. Kirra and I had to work on making the five points, T.I.A.S, and shoot b-roll along with other important stuff. We had to change the five points several different times, which meant we had to change the script for our whole video. But that was okay, because I learned a couple things so it won't happen that much next time.
The second reason is that it was one of my best work. Although this video did not get picked by Hiki No, we just found out this week, this video won third place for the STN nationals!! Personally, I think the video had great shots, and great quality. There was many different angles, and I think you could tell what the story we were trying to tell; throughout the video.
Lastly, I think this video told an important message. Kadee, helped donate over three, or four thousand pounds of food to the Kauai Independent Food bank. If you don't know what they do, they provide food for the hungry, and if there are any emergencies. Kadee has also given backpacks to kids who can't buy a backpack, and many more random acts of kindness. Keep in mind, Kadee is only in the sixth grade. She started all of this at the age of nine! The message that was told, was that anyone could make a difference, and it doesn't matter what age you are!
In conclusion, the reasons why I chose the story to play for family night is because it was my first news story, one of my best work, and there was an important message behind it. I hope you have a great day, and don't forget to come back next week for another blog. Bye!!
